Skiing, hiking, swimming, lake bathing, mushrooms, horses, fishing, tennis, miniature golf, relaxation, fitness, paragliding, sightseeing flights by helicopter, open-air museums, castles, museums - all these things are temptation, for which is the best to come and visit us. Skiing is the biggest temptation in the wintertime. It is possible to ski right in Liptovská Osada (ski-lift Čepelka) but also in adjacent villages (Lipt. Revúce, Lipt. Lúžna, Korytnica, Biely Potok). But the real paradise for skiers are Donovaly (12km) and SkiPark Malinô Brdo (15km). You can find there many ski-lifts, downhill runs, ski rental, skiing schools and kindergartens and necessary service - ski outfit repairs, refreshments, ... Ski center Donovaly is well-known because of dog train races, which take place every year usually in February. If you are tired from skiing you can unwind at fitness or in sauna (Lipt. Osada, Donovaly - Zornička, Donly) or you can swim in a swimming pool (Donovaly - Žiar, Ružomberok). Unforgettable experience for you can be to call the thermal swimming pool in Bešeňová (20km) during winter. This is the best when it is snowing . . . The swimming pool is open yearly.
The summer hits are hiking, swimming and lake bathing. Climbing up the surrounding peaks provides beautiful scenes of nature of the Low Tatry and the Great Fatra. The nearest hills are Zvolen, Rakytov, Salatín, Prašivá, Krížna, Ostredok, Ploská. Demanding tourists can enjoy route along the crest of the Low Tatry - from Korytnica direction to Prašivá, Latiborská Hoľa, Chabenec, Chopok, ...are you still short of excitement? There is a walk to Magurka (historical village once known because of gold mining) or call into one of the many sheds with sheep, original sheep's cheese, oštiepok and žinčica for less able visitors. Possibilities for swimming and lake bathing are illimitable. Let's name only more known - water reservoir Hrabovo, previously mentioned Thermal swimming pool Bešeňová, water reservoir Liptovská Mara - boats, water bicycles, miniature golf.
